Fransisco Martinez (College pastor)

Hi, I’m Francisco Martinez, and English is my second language. More importantly, I’m married to the most godly and fierce woman, Tawney, and a father to four children. The Lord saved me in 2007 and called me to FBC in 2011. We have started a Spanish ministry, served in youth ministry, led community groups, and led Men of the Word. This is our third time back in college ministry. As you can tell, we love it! My life’s work is to set ablaze a passion for Jesus Christ and see people surrender every square inch of their life to Him. As the college pastor, I am passionate about seeing young college students be diligent, faithful, and fruitful in their walk with Christ. I am also a business owner selling surgical devices.

Tawney Martinez

Hello! My name is Tawney Martinez, better known as Francisco’s wife ❤️ I have been at FBC for 15 years and have served in jr high ministry, high school ministry, children’s ministry, CG leadership and currently on MBG leadership and excited to join Grafted staff once again! I am blessed to be called mom by the 4 children the Lord has entrusted to us and love the chance I get to stay home and manage all the things! It’s a dear privilege to disciple young women and free Francisco up for the work of the ministry, all the while engaging our home and children along in ministry with us as we seek to see Christ magnified in all we do!

AJ Woodsum

Blissfully married to Megan Woodsum and dad to Harper, Penny, and Owen. My favorite role in Grafted is being the Librarian for the Berean Library, and hosting the Southside Bible study at our house. I have a passion for collegians to build a habit of reading and to grow in their understanding and love for the Lord. I am always down for talking about books and getting coffee. I work as a firefighter/paramedic for the Los Angeles County Fire Department and enjoy rock climbing and wood working in my spare time, which, I have none.

Jeff Fazakerley

Hi there! I’m Jeff Fazakerley, husband to the most incredible wife ever, Emily. We’ve been a part of college ministry since 2022 and have loved every minute of it. My heart’s passion for ministry is to intentionally speak into the lives of young men as they grow in their knowledge of and passion for our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to help you not make the many mistakes I made as a college student. I work from home for a university making educational media. In my free time I love to nerd out with a movie or board game and hang with my hilarious wife and super creative daughters.

Richard LaFleur

Hello, My name is Richard LaFleur and I‘ve been a part of college ministry since 2022. I am married to my beautiful wife, Stephanie, and we have two kids. I graduated from The Master’s University in 2012 and now work as a Firefighter/Paramedic for Rancho Santa Fe Fire District. In ministry I enjoy creating meaningful relationships with new and young believers and helping them grow in their knowledge and faith. In my limited spare time, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, golfing, or playing almost any other sport.

Nathaniel “Nano” Dodson

Hi, I’m Nathaniel Dodson. I’m married to the most amazing woman, Kenzie, and together we have two incredible boys, Brady and Miles—they are such a blessing and bring so much joy and fun to our lives. For the past six years, I’ve worked in medical device sales, and outside of work, we love spending time with family, hanging with friends, and just enjoying life with our boys. I’m a huge sports fan—Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, and anything UCLA! I absolutely love being social, meeting new people, and opening our home to others. We’re especially excited to be serving in college ministry. College was when the Lord radically changed my life and drew me to Himself, so it’s a true joy to now come alongside students in this season of life. We can’t wait to see how God moves and works in the lives of the next generation. So grateful to be part of it all!

James Thomas

Hi! My name is James Thomas. I’ve been attending FBC for pretty much my whole life. God used Grafted to grow my relationship with Him substantially, so I am super thankful to be able to help others as a senior staff member. I love discipling young men to pursue Christ with all their heart, and enjoy the process of men becoming biblical MEN who have surrendered their heart and mind to Christ. I work for an engineering firm (but am not an engineer) and love playing board games (erm, biblical fellowship).

Megan Woodsum

Living the good life, being married to A.J. for the last 14 years, and blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to our 3 kiddos. Before becoming a mom, I worked as a court reporter and love all things grammar and punctuation. these days I spend my time gardening, organizing anything I can, or baking cookies. I have loved serving on college staff for almost a decade now. Helping our collegians grow in their knowledge and love for the Lord is the best ministry at FBC.

Emily Fazakerley

My name is Emily Fazakerley, and I get to be married to Jeff! Mosty I make sure Jeff and our daughters Eiley and Margot get fed while he runs around doing all of the ministry everywhere at FBC, but I also love to serve at Grafted be encouraging young ladies to pursue faithfully following Christ through regularly digging into His Word. During the week, I work from home doing quality assurance for a university - I listen to the “this call may be recorded for quality assurance” calls, which is an actual thing! Outside of that, I enjoy writing, holding babies, theater, reading, eating cookies, and hanging out with my family, all three of whom i actually like. Come hang out with us anytime.

Stephanie Lafleur

I met my husband, Richard in college at The Master’s University, and we’ve been happily married since 2015. Before becoming a mom, I worked as an Assistant Athletic Director for 8 years at Linfield Christian High School. but now I stay home with our two kids, Braelyn and Jayden. I love all things sports and travel, but truly enjoy being a wife, homemaker, and a mom. I enjoy building relationships with the girls in college ministry and helping them grow in their pursuit of Christ and love for others. Even though we live in the very distant town of Temecula, our home is always open for food, watching a game, and good conversation.

Kenzie Dodson

Hi, I’m Kenzie Dodson, married to my wonderful husband, Nathaniel. We have two amazing boys, Brady and Miles, and I have the joy and privilege of staying home with them. Our days are full of adventure—we love being outside, going on walks, and spending time with family and friends. Throughout our marriage, we’ve had the blessing of serving together in youth ministries, and we’re so excited to now step into college ministry. The college years were such a meaningful season in our own lives, and we have a deep love for walking alongside students in this unique stage. We’d love to open our home as a welcoming space where students can come, relax, and feel encouraged. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to do life with you!

Megan Barbour

This is my 13th year serving in the college ministry at FBC, and I can honestly say it does not get old (though I keep getting older!). I love this ministry because my heart is to spend time with younger ladies over tea (or coffee), to talk about Jesus and grow together in His likeness. During the day I teach PE at Temecula Prep. On the weekend you can find me watching my nephew’s baseball games or supporting my niece’s in theater. My desire for myself and the ladies of our college ministry is that we would know Christ and love Him more than anything.

Mason Dearie

My name is Mason Dearie, I grew up at FBC and have been walking with the Lord for about 4 years. I have served in the high school ministry’s Campus Rev extension preaching on high school campuses as well as being an FBC intern. I love serving on the Grafted ministry staff and helping others apply God’s word to their lives so that they would live lives that glorify God, are controlled by the love of God, and enjoy the fullness of the joy of God. Fun facts: I’ve been playing guitar for 6 years and, despite my appearance, have surfed all of one time (I was not good).
